Extra Charges
At TaxiNZ, we aim to keep our fares clear and transparent. Please review the following extra charges that may apply to your booking.
- Advance Payment: All transfers not involving the airport (e.g., city-to-city or suburb-to-suburb) must be paid in advance.
- Payment Options: We accept cash or credit/debit card payments. A $2 applies to all non-cash transactions.
- Luggage Allowance Each passenger fare includes: 1 check-in bag, and 1 carry-on bag per person. Extra luggage will be charged at $5 per additional item.
- Special Luggage Fees: extra Suitcases, golf bags, and prams — $5 each, Surfboards and bike boxes — $10 each, Any unlisted or oversized items will be quoted upon notice. Uninformed oversized luggage will be charged at pickup time.
- Vehicle Cleaning Fee: Any soiling, spillage, or damage inside the vehicle will incur a $100 cleaning charge.
- Meet & Greet Service (Arrivals): All airport arrival transfers include a Meet & Greet service charged at an additional $15.
For international flights, our driver will arrive 30 minutes after landing and wait up to 1 hour. Additional waiting time will be charged per 15 minutes.
- Late-Night Surcharge: Trips performed between 10:00 PM and 5:00 AM attract a $5 late-night surcharge.
- Public Holiday Surcharge: A $5 fee applies to all rides booked on public holidays.
- Extra Stops / Pick-ups: Additional pick-ups or drop-offs will be charged from $10 per stop, depending on distance and detour.
- Waiting Time: Waiting beyond 10 minutes will be charged at $10 per 15 minutes.
- All waiting over 10 minutes will be charged at $10 per every 15 minutes.
- Cruise, Ferry & Train Transfers: All transfers from cruise, ferry, or train terminals are treated as arrival transfers and charged accordingly.
